These walks are designed for people who would like to improve their fitness by walking. The pace is steady and the going is easy People who start on these walks have found them very beneficial.

Although we always start from the Horwich Leisure Centre, there is an amazing variety of possible walks. Where’s Tigers Clough? What about Wilson Fold? Sometimes we head for Rivington, discovering new paths en route, other times we head up to Georges Lane and even reach the Pike or Two Lads. Have you been to Wilderswood since a lot of the trees had to be removed? The views from the Memorial Arboretum are very extensive and reveal hidden secrets and sometimes we go across the fields with stunning views of the Reebok. Come and join us. You could have a very pleasant surprise. We walk between 3 and 4 miles and aim to be back by 12.30 or just after.
